Motorists and cyclists using Great Stoke Way and Hunts Ground Road are being warned to expect temporary changes to the traffic flow around Parkway North Roundabout this week.
On Tuesday (2nd May), MetroBus contractors Alun Griffiths will introduce traffic management at the roundabout which will involve manoeuvring all traffic (i.e. approaching from both directions) around the northern side of the roundabout so that work can be undertaken on the remainder of the roundabout.
This work, which is expected to last for approximately one week, will involve correcting the road levels in readiness for a tie-in to the northern end of the under-construction Stoke Gifford Transport Link (known locally as the Stoke Gifford By-Pass).
Normal access to the nearby Griffiths site compound will be closed during this period of work.
A Griffiths spokesperson said:
“No temporary lights will be used, but traffic will need to slow on the approach to negotiate the north side of the roundabout at this point.”
