A row over the number of permanent advertising boards being put up on the railings around a football pitch in Little Stoke Park has been resolved following lengthy discussions at two recent parish council meetings. A limit of 12 boards along a specified section of the pitch perimeter has been imposed by the council.

Local councillors and stakeholders have been informed that the planned date for a full (two-way) reopening of Gipsy Patch Lane has been brought forward by three months. Project managers at South Gloucestershire Council say they are now aiming to fully reopen the road from the end of September 2022.

South Gloucestershire Council has taken action to improve the visibility of road signs marking the extent of a new 20mph speed limit on roads either side of Parkway Bridge following complaints that the signage is inadequate and poorly positioned. The reduced speed limit was introduced when two-way traffic under the bridge was restored in September.

The Stoke Gifford branch of the Royal British Legion launched its 2021/22 Poppy Appeal with a ceremony in the foyer of Bristol Parkway Station on Friday 29th October. A Festival of Remembrance concert will be held on Saturday 13th November followed by a ceremony at the cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday (14th November).
