Wain Homes has opened the doors to three show homes at its Mulgrove Farm Village development in Stoke Gifford, where 150 dwellings are being constructed.
The site forms part of the planned East of Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood where a total of 2,000 homes are to be built in the coming years.
The development is accessed via a new road leading east off Parkway North Roundabout, at the junction of Great Stoke Way, Hunts Ground Road and the northern end of the Stoke Gifford By-Pass.
Outline planning permission exists for a further 177 homes, a primary school and a nursery on adjacent land ‘north of the railway’ that is owned by South Gloucestershire Council.
A new local centre, community facilities and open space are planned on land being developed by Crest Nicholson ‘south of the railway’.
The properties being built by Wain Homes at Mulgrove Farm Village range from one-bedroom apartments to large five-bedroom detached family homes. The total number of 150 units includes 34 affordable homes (22.6 percent), of which 25 will be available on a social rent tenure and 9 on a shared ownership tenure.
Sarah Williams, sales director at Wain Homes Severn Valley, said:
“Mulgrove Farm Village offers a complete lifestyle for people needing to be within easy reach of Bristol but also wanting to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle.”
“We have reached a really exciting stage with the opening of three gorgeous show homes and the first residents have now moved in.”
The development has good access to public transport, with the nearby Bristol Parkway station offering services to London Paddington and Cardiff Central and the M1 MetroBus stopping close by on Great Stoke Way – with direct connections to Cribbs Causeway, UWE and Bristol city centre.
The properties currently available to view are the Fistral, a four-bedroom detached property; the Bude, a three-bedroom semi-detached; and the Marlow, a three-bedroom semi-detached home with “contemporary open plan ground floor”.
Current properties available to reserve include the Hatherleigh – a spacious four-bedroomed family home with a luxurious ensuite to the master bedroom and practical utility room. It is priced at £585,000.
For buyers looking for their first home or professionals wanting a base with easy access to the city centre, the first apartments will be complete and ready to move into this summer.
Unusually each of the one-bedroom apartments is accessed through its own front door and those on the ground floor have their own private garden. Flooring and appliances are included and all have their own parking space and bike store.
The final first-floor apartment is available priced at £215,000.
Viewing of the show homes is by appointment only. For more information visit the Mulgrove Farm Village page on the Wain Homes website.
