Plans to build a 315-place (1.5 forms of entry) primary school on the Brooklands Park housing development in Harry Stoke could be scrapped, if the recommendations of a recent officer report are accepted by South Gloucestershire Council. The move would lead to some children having to travel up to 2 miles to attend existing schools in adjacent areas.

Parish council withdraws from Harry Stoke community centre project
A project to provide a community centre to serve the residents of around 1,200 new homes in Harry Stoke has suffered a setback after Stoke Gifford Parish Council pulled out of negotiations to run the new facility. Funding for the construction of the centre is being provided by the housing developers, as part of their community infrastructure commitments.
