Councillors defer decision on Meade Park play equipment replacement

Stoke Gifford parish councillors have voted to defer making a decision on replacing play equipment in Meade Park that was destroyed in an arson attack in June. However, they agreed to pursue the most popular option chosen in a public consultation which was to replace the destroyed play fort with a basic platform or steps to support a slide plus the installation of a separate zip wire.

Meade Park fire: Frustration voiced at lack of progress in police investigation

Councillors and residents have expressed frustration at the lack of progress being made in the police investigation into a suspected arson attack which destroyed children’s play equipment in Meade Park. The parish council is now looking at installing CCTV cameras in the park and has opened a public consultation on options for replacing the destroyed play equipment.
