‘Wildlife superhighway’ opens at new housing development in Stoke Gifford

A wildlife ‘superhighway’ has been installed at a new housing development on the north-eastern fringe of Stoke Gifford to ensure the amphibian residents feel right at home. Housebuilder Wain Homes installed the £100,000 bespoke pair of tunnels underneath the entrance road to Mulgrove Farm Village (near Parkway North Roundabout) in a joint project with South Glos Council.

Plans for new primary school at Brooklands Park look set to be scrapped

Plans to build a 315-place (1.5 forms of entry) primary school on the Brooklands Park housing development in Harry Stoke could be scrapped, if the recommendations of a recent officer report are accepted by South Gloucestershire Council. The move would lead to some children having to travel up to 2 miles to attend existing schools in adjacent areas.

Plans submitted for a further 162 homes at Mulgrove Farm Village

Detailed plans for Phase 2 of the Mulgrove Farm Village housing development on land east of Stoke Gifford have been submitted by Wain Homes. The latest ‘reserved matters’ planning application is for a further 162 homes on land in the south-east of the site that is still in the ownership of South Gloucestershire Council.

First show homes revealed at Mulgrove Farm Village in Stoke Gifford

Wain Homes has opened the doors to three show homes at its Mulgrove Farm Village development in Stoke Gifford, where 150 dwellings are being constructed. The site forms part of the planned East of Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood where a total of 2,000 homes are to be built in the coming years. Access to the site is off Parkway North Roundabout.

Pace picks up on emerging 1,600+ home new neighbourhood

Anyone using the Stoke Gifford By-Pass, Hambrook Lane or Old Gloucester Road in recent months will have noticed a marked increase in construction activity as housing developers have begun creating access points into areas designated for the building of more than 1,600 new homes.

Work starts on 327-home development on land just east of Stoke Gifford

Streams of soil-laden tipper trucks passing through Bradley Stoke and construction activity at Parkway North Roundabout at the northern end of the Stoke Gifford By-Pass are signs that work has now begun in earnest on a 327-home development site on the borders of Bradley Stoke and Stoke Gifford.

Greenfield housing site sold for £38 million

Work on a new 327-home development site on the borders of Bradley Stoke and Stoke Gifford is now expected to start this summer following a £38 million land deal between two major housebuilding firms.
